Clark North

Like most people in the skin business Clark North has had a long love affair with tattoos. But his relationship with pigments and flesh almost ended forever when his life was totally turned upside down few years back. In the space of just three weeks Clark’s mom passed way and he lost his left eye in an accident.

“I got gray hair and dropped completely out of sight for a couple of years.” Clark said. “I was feeling that I just could not do art or a lot of things anymore, including tattooing. I just kind of gave up. Then I decided to over come my difficulties and get my shit together. And it’s been all uphill, with a grin ever since.”

Clark has loved tattooing for as long as he can remember. He used to draw on friends and neighbors with pens and markers when he was a kid, and then in his late teenage years he started tattooing friends “whatever whenever … I just poked it in with a needle and some ink.” He’s turning 40 this year, so obviously tattooing has been a big part of his life for a long time.
